Pushing the Concept.

Here is a more up to date version of Dane, one of the assassins I posted below. I'm trying to work these guys into a little comic that I can work on in my spare time, might be a flop but wont know till I try I guess haha

In other news I am back at Tangata Whenua, animating for Maori Television again, So far so good, i'm the least experienced animator there but i'm doing okay I hope! Good to be around all these very talented people, it's always inspiring to see how other people approach things regarding animation and illustration and how they pull it off so well!

Something Lurks in the Shadows!

My website is still under construction, I seem to be having a bit of difficulty keeping the tables and images where they are supposed to be, but no matter! I shall persevere! For now I will be posting any updates I have here on my blogspot.

Below are a few examples of a style I enjoyed experimenting with quite a lot. Black and white, heavy shadows, a few friends of mine modelling their weapons of choice :)

Another BG and More Fanart!

Here we have a more close up view of the kitchen, in this scene the father character will be busy mixing the ingredients for the cake/gingerbread man, a coloured version of these backgrounds will be loaded up later .. the holidays have just started here for me for the next two weeks so will be busy at work most of the time and won't have a lot of time for catching up on my animation work unfortunantly, will have to wait and see what happens!

Change of Background and some 'Fanart'

Here we have a cleaned up background of a scene in the kitchen, there is a coloured version of this on the way but i'm still trying to decide on colours for certain things, I won't have time to do a cleaned up version of the characters within the scene just yet as I need to get all these damn layouts sorted out before before the holidays start so I can start animating as soon as I get back.

Ryan really doesn't like Layouts ... He really really doesn't, actually he would like them to die .. That is all :D

Bringing it Together.

Another Update! :)
I say about time too .. I wanted to see how the animation would look with a cleaned up colored background and cleaned up colored characters, here is the result, although I think the background needs another cleanup and a bit more detail on the floor.

Here we have two of the three characters which will be shown in my short animted film called 'Baked', this is the scene where the Son character and the Gingerbread Man are introduced to each other :)

Another Change.

I was playing around in Photoshop and came up with a few new color schemes for the Son, I kind of like the all Blue version at the top or the black shirt blue pants at the bottom .. i'll see what the tutors think .. the black definantly makes it look more bold :)

A Little More..

Well here are two more views for the Son character. the back and the side .. I'm not sure what it is but there is something not right with these two new pics .. maybe its the nose or maybe it's the headshape? I'm not really .. this style is still completely new to me, maybe i'll change a few things when I clean these up later on!

Character Design

Finally got these scanned up and onto my harddrive from class today, this is one of my characters from my soon to be first animated short called 'Baked' :) These are some sketches of the 'Son' character and a potential color scheme!

Yay! Decided to make myself a Blogspot AGAIN, hopefully this time I wont forget my username/password like last time .. Yeah i'm a moron haha. Anywho .. just thought this would be a good place to post updates and things like that for my animation project this year, maybe it will give me more motivation to do more work! Time will tell!
